Standard Cheque Accounts and Electronic Banking (EFT)

 A.   The process for Standard Cheque Account – Opening and Changing Signatories

Churches can collect the application forms from their nearest Standard Bank.  Complete the forms and send it to the Diocesan office with certified copies (by a priest or at the police station) of all the signatories'  ID documents and a copy of a Municipal or Telephone account with a physical address on (not older than 3 months).  A letter on the letterhead of the church to say that it was decided in a vestry/church council meeting that these people can be the signatories on the bank account.  All the forms must be sent to Ivy Matthews and she will check them and send them off to Standard Bank.

B.   Electronic banking – New Applications and Changes

There is a prescribed form to complete which will be done by Ivy.  The following information is needed in order for Ivy to complete the form:

·         The name of the new releaser

·         The ID number of the person

·         Physical address of the person

·         Cell phone number of the person

·         If the person should be an “Operator” (load payments only and look at balances and statements) or a “Releaser” (all the above and releasing)

·         If you want to take somebody off the releasing or operating the name of the person to be taken off.

Rodney and John need to sign forms and Ivy will send the application to Standard Bank.  When Standard Bank has processed the application they will contact the applicant on the cell number to confirm physical address and deliver the token.

The new person will need to load the Standard Bank Business Online on their computer system and follow the instructions on the box of the token or call Standard Bank Call Centre at 086 0123 007 to ask for help.
